At sunrise, you will always see Yoshiji watching the ocean, whether it’s calm or rough seas. On days when the waves are good, you can always catch him in the line up. You can tell he is always ready to ride any kind of wave, by the variety of 6’ to 8’ boards lined up in his home. Not only in Shikoku’s beautiful river mouth tubes or strong reef breaks that appear when other spots are closing out; but also in Indonesia, Hawaii’s Sunset Beach and Waimea — you can catch him way outside in the deepest sections, cool and collected riding the monster sets. He keeps his routine even if he is busy with work of glassing surfboards and embodies the principle of the 303 team and factory.
